Chief of Police
Chief Damon Williams became Chief of the Maxton Police Department in April of 2010. He currently holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Fayetteville State University and is currently working on his Masters in Administration. He is a young man with a new vision for the Department. Under the leadership of Chief Williams, the Maxton Police Department has begin to move into the twenty first century. The Police Department now has a fully functioning K-9 program with two full time K-9 officers. The Department has seen the addition of a Gang Officer and Evidence Tech. Several upgrades have been made under the Williams Administration such as purchase of a new radio system, eight new patrol vehicles purchased under a USDA Grant, new departments weapons, patches, badges, leather gear, uniforms, recording system, and additional staff. This Department has seen major progress in the last year and we look forward to continuing our progress into the future.
